Some things get better with age, while some things don’t age at all.

Indeed, style doesn’t have to get old. It’s true that many folks of a certain age feel out of step with ever-changing trends and think Vogue and Glamour don’t apply to them anymore, but we caught up with a few Bay Area women and men who wear their passion for fashion quite literally on their sleeves — and slacks and shirts and skirts — and most definitely their swanky shoes.

They take advantage of their well-earned right to have fun with looks — yes, even wearing purple should the whim so strike — and doing it all in a current way that fits for . 

"Dressing well doesn’t take much longer than putting on your sweats, and then you feel good about yourself” she says. “Just know your body type. Be comfortable, be playful. It really doesn’t really matter what age you are.”

GO-TO DENIM JACKET
